Why would you be guaranteed a job? The idea that government needs to ensure everyone has a job (no matter their willingness to work) and gets a minimum wage (no matter their productivity) should concern us all. Everyone has the right to work and choose what they want to do, within limits imposed by nature and themselves. An employer owes their employee a clear offer and conditions of employment, but not some immutable right to continuous/lifelong employment, no more than an employee is required to commit their life's work to the employer.
