Liberty - Religion

The

Question

When and where does freedom of religion apply?  Most Americans respect the freedom to practice any or no religion, though the battle lines have increasingly been formed over just what constitutes government support of religion.  The interpretation of the First Amendment has definitely moved to a much broader definition of "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" and a growing willingness for "prohibiting the free exercise thereof" at least in terms of traditional religious belief.  Will secular religiousity continue its expansion?
